CDM Project Manager, Mexico, Mexico City

with a strong focus on projects that contribute significantly to sustainable development. They are looking for a talented CDM Project Manager to join their team in Mexico City.  

Position Overview:

For their expanding project portfolio in Latin America, my client are looking to hire an experienced and motivated CDM Project Manager. The successful applicant will have at least two years of experience working within the carbon markets, will be an expert in managing the CDM/VER project life cycle, and will work closely with and report to the Regional Manager Mexico & Central America.  

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Interacting with project developers and maintaining good client relationships
• ·         Working with project partners and third parties preparing validation and verification of projects including technical analysis
• ·         Providing technical support to the business development team
• ·         Managing the CDM/VER project cycle from PDD to successful registration
• ·         Be heavily involved in the writing of detailed PDDs
• ·         Sucessful implementation of consulting projects
• ·         Proactively source new business.

Education:-

• ·         A degree in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, or a degree in environmental sciences

Core Requirements:-

• ·         2 to 4 years work experience in the carbon market
• ·         Involvement in the full project cycle of at least 2 carbon projects (CDM or voluntary)
• ·         Experience in implementing carbon consulting projects (i.e. footprinting, feasibility studies, etc.)
• ·         Ability to manage own work effectively and prioritise tasks
• ·         Fluent Spanish and fluent English
• ·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• ·         Strong technical skills and experience in, or familiarity with the energy, waste or industrial sectors
• ·         Be able to understand the total project operation including material procurement, forecasting, manufacturing and on-time delivery.
