CDM Portfolio Manager

Job Description:
EEA is looking to recruit a Senior Manager to work in its Beijing office with responsibility for managing the delivery of CERs from a portfolio of over 50 projects. The role will involve the management of project monitoring, implementation and verification.

Specific responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing and advising on monitoring requirements for CDM projects under design, under implementation or already operational;
• Designing and providing training to project owners on the implementation of CDM project monitoring protocols;
• Follow up project implementation to secure proper implementation of monitoring processes and required hardware;
• Liaise with the head office for verification schedules;
• Managing verification and issuance procedures;
• Identifying risks to the timely delivery of CERs from the portfolio of projects;
• Providing up to date accurate information on expected CER issuance to head office

Candidate profile:
• The successful candidate must have a strong technical and analytical background, and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
• Diligent, with attention to detail and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast moving environment, handling multiple assignments effectively;
• Experience in CDM project implementation and / or verification;
• Team building attitude.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Knowledge of the CDM methodologies, processes and policies, especially in China;
• Science or Engineering background;
• Professional engineering experience in power sector, or CDM validation and verification;
• Fluent mandarin;
• Excellent spoken and written English;
• Superior PC skills.
