A commercially focused CDM Origination professional is required for a US
Power company, who have been mandated to establish a leading CDM business in
South East Asia..
The purpose of the role is to originate and execute CDM
opportunities in the region.
The position is to be based in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia with frequent travel to
target countries which will include Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and
Philippines. The sectors that will be covered include Biomass, Palmoil, Starch and
Landfill Gas.
The role;
- Identifying, pre-screening and assessing CDM project opportunities.
- Establishing and managing partner networks and new business relations.
- Key responsibility for negotiation of terms sheets and ERPA.
- Supporting regional CDM Technical staff.
- Regular provision to the group director in the US with updates and reports.
- Representing and promoting the company at conferences and exhibitions.
The ideal candidate;
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent in a business degree or similar.
- Proven track record in an equivalent commercial role, preferably with
experience in the energy sector.
- CDM experience and carbon market exposure.
- Experience negotiating ERPA.
- Experience in managing teams both locally and remotely.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Fluency in at least one regional language a distinct advantage.
Extensive travel will inevitably be required for this role.?
