Carbon Trading Specialist

Leading EU bank are are seeking a seasoned expert in carbon trading in order to assist the bank with the establishment of a system in order to monetise carbon credits from market based mechanisms for trading carbon.

This is a key role for the bank, and will involve dealing with both internal and external clients in managing the development of the programme within the bank. The role will also involve executing carbon trades as per necessary.

The ideal candidate must have at least 6 years experience in the financial markets with at least 3 years focusing on the carbon markets. You must have intimate knowledge of the markets and its associated drivers, with a solid understanding of how carbon is linked with energy markets and energy trading. As well as an understanding of the financials, you must be in touch with the policy side and have a deep understanding of the UNFCCC and its processes.
