Point Carbon, the world-leading provider of news and analysis for the carbon and energy markets, is looking to add a quantitatively oriented analyst to the R&A department in Oslo.
The Position
The successful candidate will be working as a carbon market analyst in Point Carbon’s Research & Advisory department, and participate in a dynamic team of market analysts on EU ETS, CDM/JI and other Kyoto markets. The position is based in Oslo.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Be part of the Carbon Risk Advisory Team
- Conduct analysis on recent developments, trends and market implications of policy decisions in the carbon market, with special attention to CDM/JI
- Conduct due diligence on CDM & JI projects (desk based and on-site)
- Participate in project sale and delivery processes in a client setting.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree or similar degree from university, for example in industrial economics or engineering
- Preferably 1-2 years professional experience within project feasibility studies, project risk assessment or similar.
- Experience within CDM or JI a plus
- Fluent communication skills, both written and oral, in English. Other languages is an advantage
- You are extrovert and analytical by nature, and your work is recognised by rapid delivery of results and high quality
- Willingness to travel is a requirement.
