Point Carbon, the world-leading provider of news and analysis for the carbon and energy markets, is looking to add a quantitatively oriented analyst to the R&A department in Oslo.
The Position
The successful candidate will be working as a carbon market analyst in Point Carbon’s Research & Advisory department, and participate in a dynamic team of market analysts on EU ETS, CDM/JI and other Kyoto markets. The position is based in London.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Be part of the Carbon Risk Advisory Team
- Conduct analysis on recent developments, market trends and market implications of policy decisions in the carbon market
- Analyse and support financial transactions in the carbon market
- Proactively work with carbon market players in London to develop client relationships and identify project opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum Master degree or similar degree from university, for example in business & administration or industrial economics
- Preferably 2-4 years professional experience within finance, management consulting or similar
- Experience within carbon markets is a plus
- Excellent understanding of finance and statistics, and efficient in Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English. Other languages is an advantage
- You are extrovert, independent and analytical by nature, and your work is recognised by rapid delivery of results and high quality.
