Greenpeace is looking for a dynamic, ambitious and creative Campaigner! Working with the Program department, you will help transform the Australia/Pacific region into a genuine global leader on climate – driving the deep political and cultural shifts that will be required if we are to shut down Australia’s coal power stations, while helping elevate the voices of Pacific leaders on climate globally.

The role will include political and cultural analysis, developing and running impactful strategy, seizing opportunities at crucial moments, working inside the environment movement and far beyond, and then delivering inspiring people-powered campaigns aiming for big impact.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are seeking someone with the ability to understand the dynamic scientific, social and political forces that are shaping Australia’s response to climate change. You will have the proven ability to figure out the workings of power structures, the capacity  to communicate effectively through traditional and online media, and the potential to engage in policy spaces. You will also be a leader – someone who brings people along with you, and be agile – able to adjust plans as the world changes around you.

WHY GREENPEACE

Greenpeace is committed to personal development, with great opportunities for workplace learning and career progression.

If that’s not enough, you also:

  • Get to work in a team of skilled troublemakers determined to disrupt the status quo
  • Get to use your skills for good, engaging and motivating everyday folk to take action for the planet
  • Have the independence and scope to experiment, innovate and advance the aims of the organisation
  • Greenpeace can guarantee a flexible work environment, friendly and helpful co-workers, and opportunities for professional development.
