My client is a Global Project Developer and Distributor with an excellent reputation in the market.
Position Overview: Reporting to Senior Business Development Director, this position will ensure business growth in accordance with the organizational strategy through carrying out business development activities
Responsibilities:-
- · Identify, assess and create project development opportunities
- · Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements; securing grid connections and building permits
- · Proactively sourcing new potential sites for development to grow the business
- · Project negotiations (with diverse project partners like local developers, IPPs or utilities)
- · Negotiating terms and closing deals
- · Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
- · Manage projects by setting priorities and expectations, problem solving, communicating ongoing status updates
- Planning and organizing of projects
- Full responsibility of the commercial, technical and organisational interests on site
- Supervise and oversee all commercial matters
- Support for projects in the project development phase
- Due Diligence relating to specific projects, potential contractors and new projects
- Participating in the draw up of bid documents and contracts
- Evaluating and selecting offers from contractors
Education:-
- · Strong educational background, undergraduate degree in engineering and/or business related field
Core Requirements:-
- · Minimum of 3 years experience in energy development, wind preferred but not essential
- · Practical experience with solar systems and components
- · Must have a strong understanding of technical matters, the ability to think in economic perspective and experience of project development
- · Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry
General Requirements:-
- · Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
- · Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detecting realistic solutions
- · Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
Key Skills:
Solar PV, strong engineering and/ or business related background, experience in the development of Utility-Scale PV projects , experience with O&M contracts, team leadership and complex stakeholder and customer management experience.
