My client is a leading developer in the Italian PV market. Their solar business is dedicated to investment, development and construction of solar PV projects in Europe. They focus on development of medium-large scale ground-mounted solar projects and rooftop systems. They are looking to recruit a business development manager to develop all their projects business across Italy.
Core Criteria: My client is looking to recruit a business development candidate with a focus on the growth of their solar PV module business, responsible for strategically managing the sales process including identifying, targeting and developing new business relationships in Germany.
Responsibilities:-
- · Develop and implement strategies necessary to build, develop, finance, and operate solar power (PV) plant projects.
- · Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
- · Identify and prioritize new business prospects
- · Manage support staff through leadership and collaboration
- · Lead large scale PV projects proposal preparation including pricing strategies
- · Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
- · Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in large scale projects sales
- · Manage projects by setting priorities and expectations, problem solving, communicating ongoing status updates
- Analysing the clients needs and developing proposals to fit their criteria
- Negotiating terms and closing deals
- Working in conjuction with the development, sales and project finance teams
- Planning and organizing of projects/ products
- Generating leads and arrange client visits with a view to pitching solar products / projects
Education:-
- Must have strong educational background (MBA would be desirable)
Core Requirements:-
- You will have at least 2-5 years of business development experience, with an excellent track record
- Excellent knowledge of PV projects
- · Proficient with making impactful presentations
- · Proven track record in solar business development and growth
- · Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry
General Requirements:-
- · Willingness to travel to sites around Italy
- · Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- · Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
Key Skills:
Solar PV, Excellent knowledge of PV projects, fluency in Italian (any other European language is an advantage), team leadership, business development and growth.
