Description

My client is a huge global utility whose renewable department operate both onshore and offshore wind farms on a world wide scale. They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to be responsible for scouting new business opportunities, going from origination to purchase of ready to build projects.

 

Position Overview:

My client is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager in order to grow the company’s influence in the Italian market and generate new business opportunities. You will be working closely with the senior sales managers in regions across Europe, and will be reporting directly to the Director of Sales and will be key part my clients continued growth in the European market.

 

Responsibilities:-

  •          Key contact of the company in order to develop strong relationships with new and existing contacts in the wind market.
  •          Ensure that my client is in the bid process for large scale wind farm developments across Italy
  •          Management of technical aspects such as wind assessment analysis, data storage management and availability, layout definition and optimization; grid connection point availability, data management and project designing
  •          Develop and implement strategic sales plans, forecasts and performance goals to achieve corporate objectives for projects within Eastern Europe
  •          Demonstrate ability to negotiate large scale contracts with a team of bid managers, sales managers and support staff
  •          Preparation of all legal / economical/ commercial requirements of development contracts, partnership agreements and M&A agreements
  •          You will manage the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of wind projects in order to achieve the end result of project development in the wind market across Italy
  •          Manage performance of sales team and representative organizations
  •          Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
  •          Design strategic plans for global and strategic accounts in the market
  •          Team coordination at a national and international level

 

Education:-

A degree in either Business or Mechanical or Civil or Electrical Engineering

 

Core Requirements:-

  •          You must have 3+ years business development or sales experience in the wind market
  •          Specific experience in Business Development of wind farms or production plants
  •          Must be fluent in Italian
  •          Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
  •          Ability to manage multiple large scale projects
  •          Excellent computer skills included AUTOCAD

General Requirement

  •          Ability to travel internationally
  •          Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  •          Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

 

Key Skills:-

Energy, renewable energy, construction, negotiations experience, business development, large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience
