Description

My client is part of a global organisation specialising in providing various products to the UK water & environmental sectors. Key areas of their business include water treatment plant design & operation, industrial management, flood protection and storm water control.  The UK division uses the companies vast knowledge in the water industry to consult with clients in order to reduce their carbon footprint.

 

Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling technical solutions to businesses across the UK, you will provide sound technical advice to clients in order to sell a solution that best suits their needs. In addition to this you will also manage existing clients to ensure high levels of service are met.

 

Responsibilities:-

 

  • ·         Identify new clients within the UK market
  • ·         Promote and sell relevant products
  • ·         Provide after sales support to existing accounts
  • ·         Provide detailed instructions to the project team
  • ·         Maximise revenue through new orders as well as up selling on existing accounts

 

Education:-

  • ·         Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related education or training, or Business Administration or equivalent job experience necessary

Core Requirements:-

  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in the water, wastewater or environmental sector
  • A strong track record of success in the relevant industry sector
  • ·         A strong understanding of wastewater systems

 

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel
  • ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Key Skills:-

  • Wastewater, Business Development or Sales Experience, solution sales, knowledge of water treatment and environmental sector
