Description

As a global provider of turn-key and single service solutions to the wind industry, my client provides specialist installation teams along with servicing and maintenance of wind turbines via a broad range of technical resources. They are looking to bring on an experienced Business Development Manager to oversee their sales and business development strategies based in Dallas, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking and established company within the wind sector with a global reach.

 

Position Overview:

My client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to play a leading role in their operations throughout the United States. You will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will help generate new business opportunities whilst maintaining key accounts with current clients. You must have excellent presentation and negotiation skills as you will be developing and implementing presentations to prospective clients and will also take a substantial role in bidding for new wind farm projects.

The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales and a minimum of 3 years working within the wind industry.

 

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Proactively source new clients and business opportunities
  • ·         Work closely with the Vice President of Sales to advance of the existing sales network
  • ·         Selling my clients services to the US manufacturers and developers
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
  • ·         Careful consideration of contracts with regards to cost targets
  • ·         Negotiate terms and conditions with new clients, with a full knowledge of the legal requirements within the US markets
  • ·         Use your experience of closing deals with clients and gaining strong connections in the market to develop and grow the business on a regional basis
  • ·         Identification and negotiation new long term contracts, consolidating customers in an increasing business based relationship

 

Education:-

  • ·         A degree in either business or electrical/mechanical/civil engineering

 

Core Requirements:-

  • At least 2 years of business development experience in the onshore wind industry
  • Good knowledge of alternative energy solutions and regulatory frame work  
  • ·         Excellent organisational skills
  • ·         Exceptional presentation skills
  • ·         Experience of negotiating contracts with international companies
  • ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         A senior level of negotiation and sales skills
  • ·         Strong team communication and analytical skills

 

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results

 

 

Key Skills:-

Sales experience, business development, onshore wind, delivering presentations, mechanical or electrical engineering, leadership skills, asset management, sourcing new business, negotiations
