Business Development Manager - Hydroelectricity, Southeast England

My client is a global renewable energy consultancy working utility scale projects. They are looking to expand their hydro power division to expand the range and size of their hydro business internationally, through leading effective business development, championing hydropower across the company and their client base. The role requires someone who has developed a solid understanding of the hydroelectric power market in Europe but more importantly have a base of contacts within the industry to aid business development. The ideal candidate will have experience in either hydroelectricity or wind energy and have extensive electrical engineering skills to enable them to communicate with potential clients confidently and knowledgably. Most importantly, the role requires an individual with extensive business development within the renewable energy space especially in water energy.

Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

• ·         Raising awareness of new hydroelectric team within the company
• ·         Sourcing new hydroelectric projects within Europe as potential
• ·         Developing strong client relations with firms expanding into hydroelectricity  as well as those experienced in the sector
• ·         Work with the current hydroelectric team to build a national and European development strategy

Requirements:

• ·         Water energy experience preferably in a consulting capacity
• ·         Msc  in Electrical engineering or related field
• ·         Extensive business development experience in the renewable sector
• ·         Good network of client and project managers in the hydroelectric space
• ·         Excellent written and spoken skills
