Description

My client is an interntionally recognised wind farm developer who is looking to expand their team project developements. They have been involved in a large portion of wind farm developments in Germany and are looking to ensure that this market share is expanded across Europe. They have key teams of negotiators in individual european countries and require a experienced and proven business developer to manage the initial relationships.


Core Criteria:
My client requires a senior level business developer to encourage development of initial relationships with manufacturers, developers and operators of wind turbines. This position would require travel throughout Europe with a strong focus on the UK, Germany, French and Scandinavian countries. This position will involve long contract negotiations strong knowledge of the offshore wind market.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         You will manage the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of offshore wind project in order to achieve the end result of project development in the offshore wind market across Europe
  • ·         You will travel extensively across the UK, Germany, France and Europe developing and maintaining key relationships in the offshore wind market
  • ·         You will demonstrate ability to lead negotiations team towards results that will ensure company project development across Europe
  • ·         Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
  • ·         You will have full authority to represent my client in all matters relating to securing future projects in the Europe offshore wind market and leading a team of negotiators throughout the process
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
  • ·         Manage a pipeline across Europe that supports the company’s growth strategy in offshore wind projects
  • ·         Work with the Directors and Vice Presidents of the technical, legal and projects teams providing support for the negotiations process with the developers, government departments and utilities
  • ·         You will achieving targets of securing multi million Euro(€) contracts with operators, developers and manufacturers of offshore wind projects
  • ·         You will focus on multiple projects with the ability to manage individuals who are working independently and do not require micro-management

Education:-

A MSc minimum in engineering field or equivalent

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have 2-4 years business development or sales experience in the offshore wind market
  • ·         You will have worked in the wind industry for 6-8 years with a focus in the offshore market
  • ·         An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the offshore wind industry in Europe
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • ·         A background in the offshore wind market in Europe          

General Requirement

  • Ability to travel across Europe
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         The ability to manage multiple teams from various site across Europe
  • ·         Excellent ability to communicate and work in English is a must with the ability to communicate in German, Danish, Spanish or French a bonus

Key Skills:-

Energy, renewable energy, construction, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines or large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, project managers, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience.
