Africa Renewables Group (AfriRen) is a start-up founded in May 2010 the objective to develop renewable energy projects in Africa. The company is currently operating in Ghana a forestry logistic chain of 80 staff which fell old trees from rubber plantations and process it into woodchips for the European Utility market. The company now wishes to expand its model into The Ivory Coast and is looking to integrate into the team an energetic collaborator in this mission. ARG is looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial and energetic Business Developer and Logistics Expert to develop the groundwork required for the business to expand to Ivory Coast. The main responsibilities of this role include:
o Identification of industrial rubber tree plantations with replantation programs in Ivory Coast
o Identification of outgrowers and communities growing rubber trees with an interest in valorizing their unproductive rubber trees
o Assist ARG in the negotiations with the industrial plantation and outgrowers on their biomass
o Coordinate with the Ghana subsidiary the transit and cross border passage of the forestry equipment required in Ivory Coast.
o Obtain from the Ivoirian Customs Authorities “duty-free temporary status” for the same equipment as well as “a public interest recognition” status.
o Develop and be responsible for the relationship with AGEPE to ensure that our workers (expatriates, Ghanaians and locals) are duly registered and operate in accordance with the law of Ivory Coast
o Develop and be responsible for the relationship with the Ministry of Finance to negotiate a more beneficial tax regime for ARG investment in Cote d’ivoire
o Provide management with recommendations following cost-analysis to improve general cost-efficiency of the cross-border operations

· The candidate should be an have a university degree on business, agriculture or engineering
· At least 5 years of proven experience on business development and logistics in Cote d’Ivoire
· Experience in the agroindustrial or forestry sector an advantage
· Very good skills in English and French , bothe spoken and written
· Must possess good organizational skills with ability to integrate quickly into a small team .
Six Month probation leading to a long term contract Annual salary of 20,000 USD / Year Company Car
