BREEAM Assesor

Our client is a growing and diverse team of sustainability specialists, passionate about creating a positive impact in the built environment. They work nationally and internationally on projects ranging from small residential units to large mixed-use developments.

We are looking for a determined and intelligent individual, with a real belief in the role of the built environment in achieving a sustainable future, to join their friendly and energetic team. The successful candidate will work alongside architects, engineers, landowners, property developers, businesses and local government to manage the environmental impact of buildings.

Previous experience of environmental assessments and energy modelling is essential as we are looking for a self-starter who is able to be client facing and provide design advice within the first months.

Key responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following:

•        Undertaking BREEAM assessments (to include EcoHomes and the Code for Sustainable Homes)

•        Energy modelling (using NHER SAP and Design Builder) and renewable energy feasibility studies of buildings

•        Project management

•        Liaising with clients and building client relationships

•        Chairing meetings

•        Analysing and interpreting complex data

•        Researching and writing reports

•        Networking within the building and sustainability sector

•        Attending conferences

 

Applicant specification:

The following are requirements:

•        Successful submissions of BREEAM assessments.

•        Experience of energy Modelling software for Part L.

•        Experience of energy assessments and renewable energy feasibility studies.

•        Relevant Degree or Masters Qualification.

•        Committed to environmental considerations;

•        Happy to work in a team and with clients;

•        Able to clearly present information both verbally and in writing;

•        A swift problem-solver with imagination and initiative;

•        Punctual, reliable and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines;

•        Positive and independently minded with a good sense of humour.
