BIOLOGY FIELD TEACHER (Tutor)
Blencathra Field Centre

FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of 'ringing Environmental Understanding to All' via its 17 Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom. We currently have a vacancy for a Tutor at our residential Centre at Blencathra, Lake District.

In the important and challenging role of a Field Tutor you will develop, plan and deliver GCSE and A-level courses, along with environmental courses for younger students. You will be expected to play a major role in the working and organisation of the teaching team. Therefore previous experience is essential, as is knowledge of the National Curriculum and a degree in biology / ecology / environmental science or closely allied discipline. Training will be given to help you develop your competence. You'll also be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary is offered in the range of £16,446 - £18,767 depending upon qualifications and experience. If resident at the Centre a deduction is taken for food and accommodation.
