This project is a multifaceted conservation effort, dedicated to preserving tropical eco-systems, both terrestrial and marine, through protecting a tract of tropical lowland rainforest and its coastal zones, offering environmental education programs for national and international students, promoting tropical research and studies, and working with local communities. The remote tropical rainforest reserve is home to a wide array of rare and endangered flora and fauna. The biological station is looking for interns with biology, ecology, or similar backgrounds to work alongside maintenance personnel and biologists at the rainforest reserve. Interns contribute to and gain experience in environmental education, hospitality, on-going research, conservation issues, construction and maintenance. There is plenty of time for relaxation, swimming, and hiking in the surrounding area. Interns receive lodging and 3 meals daily at the biological station.
