Biological Compliance Monitor Leader

Sequence is seeking an Environmental Construction Monitoring Group Leader for a client firm located here in the San Francisco / Bay Area. The position would be charged with direction and management of projects throughout California and the western United States.

The role would require responsibilities for designing construction monitoring programs with clients and agency staff, supervising and dispatching environmental construction monitoring personnel and interacting with clients and third party construction or engineering subcontractors. The position would also be responsible for leading environmental training and mentoring of more entry to mid-level staff in the practice group. Additionally, experience is desired in researching, writing and editing of environmental documentation with occasional contribution to biological field activities.

With over thirty active and passive sites currently being managed, and some very large linear projects on the books, this is a demanding position that requires a very well organized and competent individual (someone of able abilities who is flexible and capable of multitasking and wearing many hats in a fast paced environment). The post, also has a bit of a client relationship management and light business development side to it in that much of the organizations construction monitoring business is generated through a successful and flawless history of engagements and repeat contracts.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with a successful track record of designing and managing construction monitoring activities; and have a Biology, Cultural Resources or related environmental degree. Individuals must be very organized and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
