Biodiversity Data Analyst (1 year contract)

Edinburgh

£18-20k pa

The new and exciting Living Landscapes Projects in Assynt and Cumbernauld urgently need a Biodiversity Data Analyst to:

  • Source and analyse existing data for the Assynt region from our partners
  • Complete gap analysis and prepare a land cover dataset for the Forest Research Integrated Habitat Network Model
  • Provide mapping and data analysis support
  • Act as the System Administrator for SWT’s species and habitats data held in Recorder 6, maintaining our data on the NBN Gateway
  • Support the Biodiversity Data Manager in other organisation-wide projects, and the wide range of data management systems, including ArcGIS and CMS

Candidates for both positions will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with proven experience in GIS.  They will be self motivated, highly organised and pay excellent attention to detail.  An ability to work with people with a range of IT and GIS abilities and a driving licence will be advantageous.
