BEACH WARDEN FSC SLAPTON LEY Slapton, Kingsbridge,Devon FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of ‘Bringing Environmental Understanding to All’ via its network of Learning Locations throughout theUnited Kingdom. We currently have a vacancy for a Beach Warden at FSC Slapton Ley in Devon. The Beach Warden will play a key role in the day to day delivery of the Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve events programme and visitor management. This will involve assisting with event planning, promotion and delivery, as well as maintenance of access, equipment and visitor facilities on the Reserve. Successful candidates will have an HND or degree in either Countryside Management, Biology, Geography or closely allied discipline; experience of working with the public and volunteers; and experience of leading groups in the outdoors. They should also be enthusiastic about the environment and keen to have a role in helping others enjoy, understand and respect their natural surroundings. This is a fixed term appointment for 6 months from 1 April 2013 until 30 September 2013. The salary is offered at £12,875 per annum, based on 40 hours per week. Some weekend and evening work will be required. If resident at the Centre, there will be a deduction for accommodation.
