Position Summary: The Sierra Club Environmental Law Program has an immediate opening for an attorney specializing in advocacy before state utility commissions. Location is flexible, with preference for our headquarters in San Francisco or Washington D.C office.

As part of the national Club legal team, the attorney will work in state utility commissions nationwide to retire dirty, coal-fired power plants and help promote renewables and efficiency. The attorney will litigate proceedings before utility commissions; help implement strategic legal actions to support the Club's Climate Recovery Partnership; and help coordinate all aspects of the Sierra Club's energy-related legal work. The position involves daily contact with Sierra Club volunteer activists, staff, and attorneys throughout the nation.
