ENVIRON is seeking candidates for an entry-level technical position to support natural resources, water resources, and environmental risk assessment related work.  Primary duties of this position will include assisting senior staff and clients of the firm with data analysis, research, and technical consultation in support of projects completed in the Pacific Northwest, California, and elsewhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Development of work plans
  • Data analysis
  • Literature searches and other research
  • Quality assurance and quality control of field data and data analysis
  • Development of draft report sections
  • Fish and wildlife surveys
  • Vegetation and wetlands surveys
  • Watershed and landscape-level assessments
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Good organizational skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Excellent quantitative and writing skills
  • Solid understanding of statistics
Required Experience
  • M.S. and/or Ph.D. or B.S. with greater than 5 years experience in biology, ecology,  fisheries, or wildlife sciences

Preferred Experience with the following:

  • Report development
  • Data analysis including statistical hypothesis testing
  • GIS and Database Software
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations and guidance governing development and land management
  • Aquatic and/or terrestrial organism census techniques (fish, wildlife, macroinvertebrates etc.)
