Job Title: Associate Regional Representative, Building Bridges to the Outdoors

Department: Conservation/CA/NV/HI Region/ Los Angeles

Reports To: Senior Regional Representative

Context: Carries out the strategies and activities for Building Bridges to the Outdoors campaign and programs in California . Participates in the development of strategies and priorities.

Scope: The Associate Regional Representative coordinates a broad, volunteer based citizen education and mobilization effort on outdoor education issues throughout California . Requires extensive travel.

 Knowledge & Skills:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in Environmental Studies, Political Science or a closely related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the environmental field that includes research and organizing campaigns, press relations and public speaking.
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and proof of auto insurance required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience and ability writing training and information materials.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the legislative process.
  • Demonstrated ability and effectiveness working with volunteers.
