We are looking for a highly motivated and conscientious Associate Programme Officer to support delivery of the ‘Healthy Ocean Theme’ of the Centre’s strategy, which aims to catalyse greater impact and support the delivery of global ocean goals and targets by:
Your key areas of responsibility will include providing technical, analytical and administrative support on a wide range of live and development projects and theme actions, undertaking background research, drafting reports and papers, producing communications materials and helping to organise and facilitate UK and international workshops and other events. You will also have the opportunity to attend conferences, workshops and other specialist meetings on behalf of UNEP-WCMC both in the UK and internationally. You will hold a degree in biological sciences, geography, ecology, environmental sciences, economics, social sciences or a related discipline and will possess strong technical and analytical skills. You will also have great organisational, communications and planning skills. Commitment to producing high quality outputs is also an essential requirement.
