Description

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the global conservation organization, seeks an Associate Director for the Gift Planning Team within the Development department. This person will manage the donor facing unit of gift planning fundraising by guiding the strategies implemented for all donor inquiries. The manager will supervise two Gift Planning Officers in timely and efficient cultivation, qualification, and closing activities that result in bequests, life income arrangements, and other current and deferred planned gifts. The ideal candidate will also maintain their own portfolio of inquiries and manage the inquiry pipeline and reporting processes.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in planned giving, including staff supervision is also required. Demonstrated success in implementation of strategies and systems to increase efficiencies in handling a high volume of inquiries is needed. Effective collaboration externally with allied professionals and internally with peers, working knowledge of technical, legal, and financial requirements associated with planned giving is also necessary. The successful applicant will have excellent oral and written communications skills, experience in working with donors, volunteers, and good knowledge of environmental conservation issues.
