Ynys-hir covers 745 hectares of varied habitats and has developed into an internationally recognised reserve of landscape scale stretching for 5 km on the south shore of the Dyfi. It is the most important site in Wales for breeding waders and high numbers of wintering wildfowl occur.The post holder will oversee the estate management, assist in habitat restoration projects, maintain the reserve machinery and equipment as well as supervising volunteers and work parties.Practical and organisational skills are essential as is an ability to prioritise and complete agreed work programmes. Good communication ability will be required to effectively manage the volunteers. A Welsh version of the application pack is available upon request
