Assistant Project Manager. USA, Various locations

My client is one of the leading electrical contractors operating wind projects throughout the USA totaling more than 6,000 Megawatts.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the senior project manager and providing daily updates, the successful candidate will be responsible for the field construction team, assisting the Project Manager in the construction of wind parks in Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon & Arizona.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Assisting the Project Manager in the delivery of projects through the construction phase
• ·         Ensuring site standards are established and observed
• ·         Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progression reports
• ·         Overseeing the control of quality of the works and compliance with the contractual specifications
• ·         Assisting the Project Manager in maintaining the construction budget

Education:

Eduicated to degree level - Bsc Construction Management

Core Requirements:-

• ·         Travelling to various locations
• ·         Good understanding of the wind industry
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results

General Requirements:-

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Previous experience managing engineering and construction works for wind projects at development stage would be advantageous
• ·         Excellent problem solving skills
