Arboricultural Officer (Full Time) Ref: ESL002

Arboricultural Officer (Part Time) Ref ESL004

The Council is looking for two professional Officers to provide a comprehensive Arboricultural service across both districts working closely with our other Officers.

The post holder will be required to assess planning applications and provide Arboricultural advice to planning case officers as well as managing applications on Tree Preservation Orders and notifications for works to trees in conversation areas. You will also be responsible for making, revoking and reviewing TPOs.

You will be responsible for the surveying, recording and management of Council tree stock within parks, open spaces and housing areas. You will be required to monitor the quality and timing of works issued to and undertaken by the Council’s contractor.

The Person:

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Arboriculture with experience of tree management and protection.  You will be expected to have a sound knowledge of Tree Preservation Order legislation and possess good communication and IT skills. Previous experience is similar role is desirable but not essential.
