Bristol City Council Arboricultural Officer – Planning Job reference: VAC004273 Location: City Hall College Green City Centre Bristol BS1 5TR Salary: BG10 £31,099 - 34,723 Contractual hours: 37 Bristol City Council’s Development Management service is seeking two Arboriculture Planning Officers to join the Urban Design team. This dynamic team is responsible for providing advice and support to planning officers and as a member of the team you will have responsibility for assessing and determining tree work applications and tree preservation orders. You will also play a key role in helping shape the council’s approach to managing and enhancing the city’s tree canape. You will also provide advice to a range of customers and will work with others within the team and Development Management service to deliver the objectives and targets contained within the relevant corporate and service plans. Experience of providing a high quality arboricultural advice service relating to the statutory protection of trees and woodland including the defence of any objections/appeals is essential.
