A great new opportunity to join Suffolk County Council's Environment Strategy Team as an Apprentice Communications and Engagement Assistant, based in Endeavour House, Ipswich.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of communications to the public, stakeholders, and partners through the management of the Greenest County website.
  • Support the efficient delivery of projects on behalf of the SCCP, including a comprehensive range of administrative duties.
  • Production of newsletters and social media content on behalf of the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership (SCCP).
  • Working with the Community Support Officer, Project Support Officer, and Partnership Manager you will provide support for the partnership with the promotion of projects and behaviour change campaigns to businesses, communities, and residents as required.

The post will play a key role in assisting Suffolk’s councils work towards a Net Zero Suffolk by 2030.

Your apprenticeship

You will need:

  •        apprentices must achieve level 2 English and mathematics prior to taking their end-point   assessment
  •        high levels of written and verbal communication and IT literate
  •        passion for communication
  •        a willingness to learn with an interest in the environment
  •        to be able to work in a team and be self-motivated
  •        a positive attitude, commitment, and enthusiasm.
