The U.S. Green Building Council’s Research Program conducts applied, question-driven research and innovation to advance green building practice. The Analytical Applications Researcher will help develop new information products and services to support green building practice and accelerate market transformation. The Analytical Applications Researcher will be based in USGBC’s Washington, DC office and report to the Vice President Research.
The Analytical Applications Researcher will:
- Develop and demonstrate innovative analytical tools, visualizations, and applications
- Develop information products and services, such as technical reports, maps, white papers, peer-reviewed publications, blogs, apps, and things we have not thought of yet
- Contribute to complex, fast-paced projects involving diverse, interdisciplinary teams
The Analytical Applications Researcher will have an academic background in a relevant technical area, such as information technology, environmental design, real estate finance, economics, building science, engineering, etc. The Analytical Applications Researher will be expected to extend and apply analytic skills across the wide range of issues touched by green building, such as location and planning, energy, water resources, materials, indoor environmental quality, and public health.
