The Pembina Institute is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its transportation and urban solutions team as an analyst or senior analyst who will research and advocate for solutions to accelerate Canada’s transition to a clean energy economy at the local, regional and national levels. The scope of work will include on-road freight, personal vehicles, and public transit as well as the interaction of transportation systems with the built environment.

We’re looking for a person who is engaged in the transportation and urban solutions space and wants to influence the narrative around these issues in Canada. The ideal candidate is excited about crunching the numbers behind policy and business decisions, knows where to find the right data and how to build basic models. We’re looking for a problem-solver who knows what questions to ask to get at the root of today’s challenges, and who actively follows transportation and urban solutions trends, blogs and thought leaders.

This role will require engagement with and communication to diverse stakeholders, including municipal, provincial and federal governments, industry, communities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to support the development and implementation of good transportation and climate policies.
