As an Analyst of Market Development and Policy at OPOWER you will assist the Director of Market Development and Policy Strategy in expanding energy efficiency markets in the United States and globally to help households use less energy, save money, and protect the environment. You will be expected to become an expert in the regulatory and political landscapes in each state and to assist the market development team in all aspects of developing and executing strategies to improve the policy environment for efficiency and navigate regulatory hurdles for our clients.
This is an ideal job for an ambitious, entrepreneurial professional with at least 2 years of work experience ideally in politics, consulting, advocacy, and/or policy who wants to work for a fast-growing clean energy company that is fundamentally changing how Americans and people around the world use energy. World-class communications skills (written and oral), sharp political instincts, and effective research abilities are a must. Some background in energy policy and economics strongly preferred.
