We are looking for candidates to join our gas market analysis department, located to Oslo. The department delivers short- and long term fundamental analysis of the European natural gas markets with an emphasis on the UK market. The vast majority of companies trading actively in the European gas markets are subscribing to our analysis services.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze supply and demand of the UK and Continental gas market.
- Analyze price development and price drivers of the spot and forward markets
- Develop and improve quantitative models
- Write daily market reports and price forecasts
- Improve and expand our services for these markets
- Customer contact
- Participate in cross commodity projects in Point Carbon (ex. gas, power, carbon)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Higher education in economics, statistics, mathematics or technology.
- Strong academic records
- Good command of English.
- Proficiency in use of analytical software (ex. Excel, MatLab).
- Experience with programming (ex. Visual Basic) will be an advantage
- Experience from relevant market analysis will be an advantage
