Air Quality Staff Engineer (Houston)

ERM seeks an energetic, self-starting Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to join its consulting office in Houston, TX.

Position responsibilities include:

• Providing technical problem-solving for Air Quality issues with increasing responsibility for task/project management duties;
• Conducting air quality analysis and permitting projects;
• Monitoring and recording levels of pollutants;
• Recording data and assisting in report preparation;
• Assisting clients to ensure compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations;
• Understanding budget/schedule expectations and scope of assignments; and
• Conducting field work.

Requirements:

• BS in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related degree, MS preferred.
• General knowledge of Clean Air Act issues such as Title V, MACT requirements, New Source Review (NSR), and general air quality permitting issues.
• Knowledge of Texas Air Quality regulations and experience working with Texas regulatory authorities preferred.
• 1-3 years of air quality permitting/consulting experience.
• Good writing, computational, and computer skills.
