ERM seeks an energetic, self-starting Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to join its consulting office in Houston, TX.
Position responsibilities include: - Providing technical problem-solving for Air Quality issues with increasing responsibility for task/project management duties;
- Conducting air quality analysis and permitting projects;
- Monitoring and recording levels of pollutants;
- Recording data and assisting in report preparation;
- Assisting clients to ensure compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations;
- Understanding budget/schedule expectations and scope of assignments; and
- Conducting field work.
Requirements: - BS in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related degree, MS preferred.
- General knowledge of Clean Air Act issues such as Title V, MACT requirements, New Source Review (NSR), and general air quality permitting issues.
- Knowledge of Texas Air Quality regulations and experience working with Texas regulatory authorities preferred.
- 1-3 years of air quality permitting/consulting experience.
- Good writing, computational, and computer skills.
