This small farm in close proximity to the beach is looking for volunteers/interns to get involved in ongoing projects such as plant propagation and nursery work, erosion control, reforestation, permaculture design and soil enhancement. Participants can also develop projects related to their individual areas of interest (independent study credits can be arranged). In their spare time volunteers/interns are free to enjoy activities such as snorkelling and surfing as well as horseback, zip-line canopy and sea turtle nesting tours. If interested, participants can also work with partner organizations such as a watershed restoration project, and a project working to save the critically endangered Pacific Leatherback turtle. This project provides an excellent opportunity to combine work, study and adventure, close to the beach.
The project costs £45 per week (shorter term volunteers) or £125 per month (long term interns). The fee includes accommodation (forest cabin), kitchen facilities to prepare meals, and library access for independent study. Volunteers/interns are welcome to any fruits and vegetables seasonally available at the farm.
