We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a background or understanding of environmental and agricultural/land use policy, to fill both full-time and part-time vacancies in our Agriculture Policy team. They will develop and advocate RSPB policy on a range of agriculture, rural development and food-chain issues. In particular, the postholders will be accountable for RSPB work on key policy areas such as agriculture policy, agri-environment policy and Rural Development Programmes in other EU Member States (working closely with BirdLife partners across Europe) OR policy relating to the biodiversity impacts of agricultural climate change mitigation and adaptation OR other agricultural policy areas depending on experience and existing skills in the team. The postholders will give guidance to RSPB Directors and staff at HQ, regionally and in country offices; and may be expected to line manage staff or volunteers. The posts will contribute significantly to the RSPB's agriculture campaign and help in meeting our objective of reversing the decline in farmland biodiversity.
