Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Eleven (11) Field Guide for Marula Region.

Requirements:

  • THETA  Nature Site Guide (Dangerous Game Area) TGD/NSGDGm/4/0037 NGF level 2 certificate (must include View Potentially Dangerous Game Unit Standars)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate Level 2
  • DoT Registration (Site Guide: KNP & surrounding areas
  • Valid EC Driver License (Code 10)
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit
  • SASSETA Unit Standards 123519, 119651 & 117705 Certification.
  • Firearm Competency Card/certificate as issued by the SAPS OR Proof of application.
  • Valid KNP Intermidiate Proficiency
  • 1 year cosnervation/guided activties related experience.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate's duties will include the following:

  • To conduct Intermediate guided activities (Game drives and Walks as backup) providing an in-depth interpretive experience 
  • Complete administration for the guiding activities
  • Market guided activities with the intention for improving the camps revenue and unit occupancy
  • Manage information desk and plan daily guided activities in the camp 
  • Present environmental interpretation to create awareness and a sustainable environmental culture
