Responsibilities
* Evaluate, select and maintain internal implementations of open source and/or commercial load generating tools. * Design and execute load, performance and scalability testing on web application and back-end reporting systems. * Analyze results and provide recommendations to development. * Contribute to the improvement of our software development process.
About You
* You have 4+ years of web load and scalability testing from a previous job. * You have a BS in Computer Science or another analytical field. * You are knowledgeable about a variety of load generating tools. * You understand how java works in production. * You are extremely comfortable working with SQL and databases for test set-up and trouble-shooting purposes. * You are comfortable enough with Linux to set-up and maintain the test environments. * You are an excellent communicator and have the ability to reconcile competing priorities and allocate your time as necessary to get the job done. * You love to figure out where bottlenecks are and how to fix them. * You enjoy debugging applications to get to the source of the potential issue. * You function well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for quality is set high.
