IRC131018 – Land Use & Farming Adviser Salary: £42,588 per annum Contract type: Fixed term (37.5 hrs pw for 24 months) Closing date: 12 March 2023 Address: Longshaw Estate, near Sheffield. Derbyshire, S11 7TZ Summary Our ambitions in the Peak District for Nature Recovery, Climate Adaptation, Carbon Sequestration and Sustainable Land Management are huge. We want landscapes with more nature, that are accessible to more people, and that help to address the climate crisis. If you're experienced in environmental farm advice, we'd love you to help us achieve this vision. Working in partnership and collaborating with colleagues, you'll deliver innovative solutions that will help us to deliver our vision for the portfolio. With your passion for the environment, excellent people engagement skills and desire to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you. What it's like to work hereYou’ll provide technical advice to property teams on all aspects of the management of our agricultural land. This includes land farmed and managed ‘in hand’, as well as supporting our tenants and others responsible for managing National Trust land, including commoners. You’ll be a member of the Consultancy Team in the Midlands and East of England Region, joining our Land and Nature Team. You're part of a national network of Land Use and Farming Advisors, who will offer a wealth of peer support and experience. This is initially a two-year opportunity with the focus and substantive part of your delivery in the Peak District. Your portfolio will include a couple of other places to be confirmed.
