This animal rescue centre rehabilitates mistreated, injured and/or confiscated animals, which are then reintroduced to their natural habitat in protected areas. Volunteering is very hands on and full of animal interactions. You will potentially be handling baby monkeys, sloths, birds, wildcats, raptors, reptiles and more. Volunteers will be taught about various aspects of the position such as nutrition, proper handling, and sanitation.
Apart from a £30 application and training fee there is no cost to participate. Volunteers cover their own living expenses. The centre can help you find local accommodation.
Please visit the Volunteer Latin America website to find out how to request further information and/or to apply.
